G’day, I’m Reneigh! I’m a chiropractor here at Forge Strength Chiropractic. I graduated from Murdoch University with a double bachelor's in Clinical Chiropractic and Chiropractic Science, a Master's in Sports Chiropractic and further studies in strength and conditioning. I am currently studying for my PhD in Sports, Exercise and Rehabilitation Science. My PhD project is based around Accentuated Eccentric training and Boxing.
I have been involved in the health and fitness industry for over 10 years, predominately in combat sports and Olympic weightlifting. During this time, I have gained a wealth of knowledge in applied biomechanics, injury prevention and rehabilitation.
I was originally introduced to chiropractic after feeling out of balance post-competition. After a few treatments, I was back to competing injury-free, which started my interest in pursuing chiropractic.
As a chiropractor, I believe the role of the upper cervical spine (the neck) is fundamental in postural and musculoskeletal conditions such as headaches, migraines and dizziness. I also believe in taking a holistic approach to treatment and combining it with evidence-based practice. Some of these include using shockwave therapy in the treatment of shoulder bursitis or tendinopathies or using spinal decompression coupled with TENS therapy (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation).
Outside of clinic, I enjoy getting out in nature and enjoying hikes and photography, I also compete in Olympic weight lifting. I qualified for the 2021 World Masters Games in Japan, competing in the 109+ kg super heavyweight class. These games were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
My goal for my patients is to educate them on the benefits of preventative care vs reactive. “The body tells you when something may be askew; listen as pain is not the only reason for care; optimal performance comes from a healthy mobile body."previously worked at The Wellness Place Bassendean and Peak Performance Institute West Leederville
